A social network should work for the people in it.
Most platforms decide what you see, hide how they decide it, and tune the whole thing to hold your attention a little longer. We’re building the opposite. These are the promises Seersucker is made of — not a mission statement we’ll quietly walk back, but the rules the product is built to keep.
Privacy comes first.
We don't track you across the web or build an ad profile of you. When we run ads, they're based on what's on the page in front of you — never on a dossier of who you are.
We will never sell your data.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. We don't rent it or trade it either. The information you give us exists to run Seersucker for you — that's the whole of it. We make our money from subscriptions and contextual ads, never from selling you.
Your feed is yours to tune.
Most feeds are quietly tuned to keep you scrolling. Yours is tuned by you — with controls you can actually reach and change. Want it newest-first? That's always one tap away, and it stays where you put it.
The algorithm is in plain sight.
No black box. You can see, in plain words, why something is in your feed — and adjust it. An algorithm you can't see isn't one you can trust.
No shadowbanning. Ever. In any form.
We will never secretly throttle your reach or quietly bury your posts. If something you share is limited or removed, we tell you, we tell you why, and you can appeal. “Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach” is not a policy we will ever adopt.
You can't buy your way to the top.
Paying us doesn't boost your posts or sink anyone else's. Replies aren't sorted by who paid. Reach is earned by what you say, not by a subscription.
No outside interference.
No advertiser, sponsor, or powerful interest can pay or pressure us into hiding or limiting posts — about a person, a company, a government, or anything else. The people who advertise here buy space next to the conversation, never a say in what's allowed in it. There is no amount of money that buys silence on Seersucker.
Tags are margin notes, never a verdict.
Seersucker labels the rhetoric in a post to help you read it more clearly. The labels never decide who's right, hide a post, or grade a source — and you can turn them off. A reading aid, never a referee.
The thread map never picks a winner.
We show you how a conversation branches and where it tangles. We don't crown a side or hand you a conclusion. Who's right is your call to make.
We don't sell outrage.
Your feed isn't optimized to make you angry. Engagement-bait, dunking, and pile-ons aren't a growth strategy here — they're the opposite of what we're building.

Share a link and we won't punish your reach for pointing somewhere else. Bringing a source to the conversation makes it better, not worse.
Your data, and your exit, belong to you.
Leave whenever you want. Deleting your account is quick, complete, and final — not a maze of dead ends. The door is always unlocked.
