Privacy Policy

Seersucker is operated by Spoon Seller LLC (“Seersucker,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We sell nothing and we keep what we collect to what the product needs.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email, display name, handle, optional bio, and avatar color. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
- Content you create — posts, replies, likes, reposts, bookmarks, follows, topic follows, and algorithm settings.
- Safety signals — mutes, blocks, and reports you submit.
- Technical data — basic request metadata (e.g. timestamps) needed to operate the service and prevent abuse. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies in the app.
How we use it
- To provide the feed, threads, profiles, search, and notifications.
- To rank your feed according to your algorithm settings — the controls are yours to change at any time.
- To generate the contextual rhetoric tags and thread maps. Public post text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic, via the Vercel AI Gateway) for this analysis. These tags are reading aids, not verdicts.
- To keep the service secure and enforce our Terms.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the infrastructure providers that run the service on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Vercel (hosting), and Anthropic via the Vercel AI Gateway (rhetoric analysis of public post text). We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your choices and rights
- Access & edit — view and change your profile in Settings at any time.
- Delete your account — Settings → Delete account removes your account and associated content. This is immediate and permanent.
- Reset your password— use “Forgot password” on the sign-in screen.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your data. Contact us and we will honor them.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and content are removed promptly. Limited records may persist briefly in backups before they age out.
Children
Seersucker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above when we do. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
